Hello everybody!


We meet again my dear readers in the sweet month of November and this time you'll find me talking about my favorite makeup product in the entire world - yes - THE ALMIGHTY LIPSTICK.
Inheriting this passion (now transformed into a real addiction) from my mom who can rock a lipstick anytime and who in her entire life has never used any other makeup product, my passion for lipsticks began when I was just a kid as I was watching her putting on lipstick and I was counting down the days when I would do the same. I was fascinated about that little stick who can just transform you from an ordinary person into a princess.

The lipstick for me  is not just a makeup product, an object, the lipstick is a part of me. When I have days when I might look like a zombie, or just a gloomy one, putting on lipstick makes me feel simply amazing. When I put my lipstick on, I feel like I rule the world. All my lipstick lovers out there, you know what I am talking about, others may consider me crazy or superficial. I don't care! Love me or hate me, this is ME!

In today's post I am beyond excited to show you and talk about my absolute favorite VoxBox received from Influenster so far - the Yves Saint Laurent VoxBox. If you follow me on Instagram, I was teasing you with a sneak peek of the content of this box a while back. Well, inside the black elegant box there were two Yves Saint Laurent lipsticks from the Rouge Pur Couture collection, one in number 9 - ”Rose Stiletto” and one in number 19 - ”Fuchsia”.

To say that I was mega happy and grateful for being chosen from so many great Influenster members out there to test these products is an understatement. Are you kidding me? Lipsticks? Better yet? YSL lipsticks?

As a lipstick addict and lover, I am proud to say that I do own a few YSL lipsticks and the quality of these products never failed my expectations. That is why when I want to splurge, YSL is one of my top three brands that I like to go for, definitely deserves every penny of those $36.

The two received lipsticks from the Rouge Pur Couture collection confirmed what I expected from the brand: high quality all the way through.

YSL Rouge Pur Couture in no. 9 Rose Stiletto - Rally's Beauty Highway

The Yves Saint Laurent Rouge Pur Couture lipstick in  number 9 - ”Rose Stiletto” is a rich berry rose - the perfect fall shade. Elegant and sumptuous, this lipstick matches my skin tone perfectly. It's a classic shade that you can never go wrong with, I can wear it both as a day time makeup as well as a night one. It feels so comfortable on my lips, it's like I was touched by a rose petal.

YSL Rouge Pur Couture in no. 19 Fuchsia - Rally's Beauty Highway

When I first saw the Yves Saint Laurent Rouge Pur Couture lipstick in number 19 - ”Fuchsia” - magenta purple - I said ”Wow, now you're talking!”. Having such a fair complexion, you know me, I would never say ”no” to a bold color, because I like rocking a bold lipstick and this one is exactly what I needed. I received so many compliments wearing this lipstick, that one day I was literally walking on sunshine. Need to make a statement? This lipstick is on point!

I would like to sum up now with some essential facts that I've noticed wearing these lipsticks:

• luxurious packaging - hands down to YSL for this packaging, the lipstick itself is a masterpiece
• great smell - all those YSL lovers out there will recognize the unmistakable smell of this lipstick
• easy application - both lipsticks glided smoothly on my lips
• great coverage without any effort - I can really achieve great coverage with only one stripe/ application, but you can build it up as you desire
• rich pigmentation - both lipsticks are great when it comes to pigmentation
• long wearing - ”Rose Stiletto” stayed on me for about good long 6 hours, meanwhile ”Fuchsia” resisted more than 8 hours
• small transfer when I was eating and drinking 

Both lipsticks match my skin tone very well, feel so comfortable on my lips, they are creamy, moisturizing (do not dry my lips all day long), do not bleed and let me tell you a secret I did not wear any lip liner, not to mention that beautiful satin radiance finish that brought me so many compliments. As I told you before, the lipsticks confirmed the quality that I have expected from the brand.

A very, very subjective conclusion the Influenster Yves Saint Laurent VoxBox was my favorite VoxBox so far, the ”little” lipstick addict inside me sure enjoyed playing with these jewels.

A sosit momentul să vă prezint cele mai îndrăgite produse ale anului 2012. Am vrut să fac postarea aceasta mai devreme, dar, fiind într-o mică vacanță după Sărbători nu am mai cărat toate catrafusele după mine. Mi-a fost destul de greu să aleg dintre atâtea tentații care s-au perindat pe ”Autostrada frumuseții” de-a lungul anului trecut. Ce am constatat este faptul că, de când am creat acest blog și colecția mea de produse cosmetice a crescut considerabil (vai de buzunare, săracele!).


It's time to show you the best products of 2012 here on the blog. I wanted to post this sooner, but, as I was in a short vacation after the Christmas Holidays, I did not carry all my beauty things with me. It was quite hard for me to choose between so many temptations that came over Rally's Beauty Highway the past year. I realized that, since I've created this blog, my makeup collection has increased considerably (oh, my poor pockets!).


Să trecem așadar la prezentarea lor! Le-am grupat frumos pe categorii:
Let's begin with our presentation! I have organized them by categories:

1. Îngrijirea feței:                                             

Pe la începutul anul 2012 tenul meu era unul normal cu tendința de uscare. Apoi, pe la mijlocul anului s-a transformat într-unul mixt cu probleme în zona T și bărbie, iar acum, la început de an 2013, s-a transformat într-unul gras cu tendință acneică. Frumos parcurs, nu?

Anul trecut m-am servit cu precădere de 3 produse pentru îngrijirea feței:

• Demachiantul integral (3în1) de la Vichy este un produs dermatocosmetic inovativ care este în același timp și lapte demachiant, și loțiune tonică și demachiant de ochi. Mie mi-a plăcut foarte mult cum îmi lasa pielea curată și catifelată.
• Săpunul facial delicat de la Clinique mi-a fost alături în fiecare dimineață la spălarea feței. Curăță delicat și împrospătează tenul.
• Veterana mea cremă Aqualia Thermal de la Vichy mi-a fost alături de mai bine 6 ani și pe care o foloseam în varianta ”legère” în sezonul de vară și varianta ”rich” în sezonul de iarnă. Singura cremă care a suplinit cu adevărat nevoile tenului meu sensibil și capricios.

Actualmente rutina mea de îngrijire a tenului s-a schimbat radical. Am să scriu o postare mai detaliată despre acest lucru în curând.


1. Face care:

At the beginning of 2012 my skin was a normal one with tendency to dry. Then, about in the middle of the year, it transformed into mixed one with problems in the T zone and chin, and now, at the beginning of 2013 it transformed again into a oily skin with acne tendency. Nicely done, right?

Last year I mainly used 3 face care products:

• The One Step Cleanser from Vichy is a innovative dermatocosmetic product, which is in the same time a cleansing milk, a toner, and a eye makeup remover. I just loved how my skin felt after I applied it: clean and very smooth.
• The mild liquid facial soap from Clinique was there for me every morning when I had to wash my face. It gently cleanses and refreshes the skin.
• My veteran Aqualia Thermal cream from Vichy has been with me for the past 6 years and I used and use it in its ”legère” version in the summer and in its "rich" version during the winter season. This was the only cream that really knew how to accomplish my sensitive and moody skin needs.

 Now, all my skin care routine changed radically. I will write a more detailed post about that soon.

 
2. Îngrijirea părului:

Produsele care mă ajută să-mi mențin părul creț, disciplinat, frumos și strălucitor sunt:

• Șamponul pentru suplețea și definirea părului uscat, ondulat și indisciplinat de la Kerastase din gama ”Nutritive” și
• Masca din aceeași gamă. Vă voi vorbi în detaliu despre aceste produse într-o postare special dedicată rutinei mele de îngrijire a părului.

2. Hair care:

The products that help me maintain my hair curly, disciplined, beautiful and shiny are:

• The curl definition shampoo by Kerastase, from the ”Nutritive” range and
• The hair mask from the same range. I will talk about these products in a special post dedicated to my hair care routine.

3. Makeup:

a. Pentru machiajul feței m-am  folosit de un trio de excepție, pe care îl cunoașteți de altfel, din multe postări cu ”Favoritele lunii”:

• Fondul de ten Accord Parfait de la L'Oreal în nuanța Ivory Rose. Am încercat mai multe fonduri de ten anul trecut, dar niciunul nu a reușit să-l egaleze.
• Pudra din aceeași gamă Accord Parfait de la L'Oreal în nuanța Rose Ivory îmi este extrem de utilă la fixarea machiajului și la matifierea tenului. Nu încarcă deloc tenul și se adaptează perfect nuanței acestuia. 
• Corectorul True Match de la L'Oreal în nuanța Ivory îl folosesc împreună fondul de ten și pudra mai sus amintite. Se completează de minune.

3. Makeup:
a. For my face makeup I've used an exceptional trio of products, that you actually know from all my ”Favorites of the month” posts:

• The Accord Parfait foundation from L'Oreal in Ivory Rose. I have tried many foundations, but no one beat it off.
• The powder from the same range Accord Parfait by L'Oreal in Rose Ivory  is very helpful at fixing my makeup and mattifying the skin. It does not go too thick on my skin and adapts perfectly to my skin tone.
• The True Match correcting concealer from L'Oreal in Ivory. I used it along with my foundation and my powder from the same range. It complements perfectly with them.

 

b. Sprâncene: un produs nou descoperit în 2012 a fost kit-ul pentru sprâncene de la Anastasia Berverly Hills - Beauty Express for Brows and Eyes. Știu că așteptați un review la acest produs, acesta va apărea negreșit în luna Februarie. Puțintică răbdare!


b. Brows: I have discovered a new product in 2012. This was the Anastasia's Berverly Hills - Beauty Express for Brows and Eyes. I know that you are expecting a review for this product. It will appear on this blog in February. A little patience please!

c. Machiajul ochilor: În anul care a trecut numărul paletuțelor mele de machiaj a crescut, însă, nu am apucat să le folosesc pe toate atât cât mi-aș fi dorit. Două paletuțe s-au diferențiat din toată colecția, și anume:

• una high-end: paletuța Naked de la Urban Decay, nu cred că mai are nevoie de nicio prezentare. Dacă încă mai stați în dubii, să o achiziționați sau nu, vi-o recomand din inimă. Este SUPERBĂ!
• una low-end: paletuța Immaculate Collection de la MUA, o paletuță foarte accesibilă ca preț, care oferă o varietate de culori pigmentate, rezistente și ușor de folosit (blending).

c. Eyes makeup: In 2012 the number of my makeup palettes grew, but, I did not get to use them quite as I wanted. Two palettes were differentiated from all my collection:

• a high-end one: the Naked palette from Urban Decay, I don't think it is needed any presentation. If you are still deciding if you are going to buy it or not, I highly recommend it! It's GORGEOUS!
• a low-end one: the MUA Immaculate Collection palette, a very accessible one, which offers a good variety of pigmented, resistant and blendable colors.

d. Machiajul buzelor: Pentru această rubrică am avut câteva rujuri pe listă, dar am stat și m-am gândit bine și, produsul care este ”crème de la crème” este acest lac de buze EXTRAODRINAR de la YSL în nuanța ”13 Rose Tempura” pe care vreau să vi-l prezint, în detaliu, într-o viitoare postare.


d. Lips makeup: For this particular section I had a few lipsticks on my list, but then I sat and thought better and, the product which I think is the ”crème de la crème”is this AMAZING glossy stain from YSL in ”13 Rose Tempura” which I want to present you, on detail, in a future post.

e. Unghii: Dacă înainte să am blogul aveam maximum 10 oje mari și late, colecția a crescut considerabil. Am descoperit în anul 2012 o mulțime de culori frumoase, versatile. Ojele 2012 sunt:

• Ojele Essence care m-au surprins prin accesibilitate și varietate. 

De la stânga la dreapta: Midnight date, 112 Time for romance, 142 Grey-t to be here, 125 Absolutely blue

01 Jacob's Protection, 02 Alice had a vision - again, 03 A piece of forever, 04 Edward's love (The Twilight Collection)

e. Nails: If before starting this blog I had maximum 10 nail polishes, now my collection grew considerably. I've discovered in 2012 a lot of beautiful and versatile shades. The nail polishes of 2012 are:

• The Essence nail polishes surprised me by their quality and variety of colors.

• Ojele Orly de care m-am îndrăgostit pur și simplu: se aplică extrem de ușor, au o calitate deosebită, rezistă mult pe unghii, culorile sunt excepționale.

De la stânga la dreapta (eu am aceste variante mini, sticluța 5,3ml): Glowstick, It's up to Blue, Purple Crush, Lola, Faint of heart)

• The Orly nail polishes which I absolutely fell in love with: they apply extremely easy, they have a good quality, are very resistant on my nails, and the colors are exceptional.

From left to right (I have the mini ones at 5,3 ml/0,18 Fl. Oz): Glowstick, It's up to Blue, Purple Crush, Lola, Faint of heart)

Am menționat în această postare toate produsele care mie mi s-au părut demne de a fi menționate. Dacă doriți să vedeți un review la unul sau mai multe dintre aceste produse, vă rog să-mi spuneți.

De îndată ce am auzit că sezonul reducerilor este în toi, am dat fuga la Sephora să văd ce produse cosmetice mi-ar face cu ochiul.

M-am uitat și am analizat ofertele și iată cu ce am plecat de acolo:


As soon as I heard that the sales season was open, I ran to Sephora store to see what kind of goodies I could  buy.

I've looked and analyzed all the offers and here is what I have bought:

Am rămas plăcut impresionată de oja Yves Saint Laurent Black Tulip, despre care v-am povestit aici, iar când am văzut aceste oje din colecția de primăvară 2012 YSL La Laque - Tangerine Orange and Bubble Gum Pink (8) - nu le-am putut rezista. Setul de 2 oje m-a costat 70,50 lei. Mi-am mai cumpărat și un serum anti-îngălbenire pentru unghii de la Sephora la 12,50 lei.


I was quite impressed with the Yves Saint Laurent nail polish in Black Tulip, I was telling you about it here, and when I saw these nail polish from the 2012 Spring La Laque collection in Tangerine Orange and Bubble Gum Pink (8) I couldn't resist them. The set of these 2 mini nail polish costed me about 15,5 euros/19 usd. I also bought a de-yellowing serum for my nails from Sephora brand and that costed me about  2,8 euros/3,5 usd.

Deși am câteva oglinjoare, mi-am cumpărat și această oglinjoară pentru poșetă foarte practică, una, în plus, nu strică niciodată. M-a costat doar 4,5 lei.

Even though I already have a few mirrors for my bags, I bought this pretty mirror too, it seems very useful, and, a new mirror is always handy. It was about  1 euro/ 1,2 usd.

Nu se putea să plec eu fără un ruj. Mi-au făcut cu ochiul cele de la Too Faced și am ales un rubiniu, Sex Kitten. Ambalajul este adorabil și foarte feminin.

As you know me, I couldn't leave the store without a lipstick. The Too Faced lipsticks caught my eyes, I chose a pretty color, a cherry-rose color in Sex Kitten. The package is adorable and girly.

Fetele de acolo au fost foarte dragute și mi-au oferit și câteva mostre de parfumuri.

The girls from Sephora store were very nice and gave me some perfume samples to try them.

Dacă ați dori să vedeți reviews-uri la unul dintre produse, sau, de ce nu, la mai multe, să-mi spuneți.

Nu vă speriați, astăzi nu am să vă vorbesc despre faimosul justițiar din filmul ”Laleaua Neagră”, pe care vi-l recomand cu drag, mai ales dacă sunteți amatori de filme clasice (vă las și link-ul aici dacă vreți să vedeți trailer-ul. Întrebați-vă părinții, cu siguranță ei știu despre ce vorbesc, mai ales întrebați-vă mamele care suspinau după Alain Delon), ci despre oja de la YSL cu același nume pe care vi-am prezentat-o și aici.

Don't be afraid, today I am not going to tell you about the famous "The Black Tulip" movie from the '60s, - which by the way I must recommend you especially if you are a big fan of classic movies (I'll leave you here the link to see the trailer. Ask your parents, they must know what I am talking about, better yet, ask your mothers who I bet they sigh after Alain Delon), - but about the YSL nail polish with the same name which I have shown you here.

 

 

 

Pregătisem postarea aceasta cu mare drag pentru voi, dar am avut parte de o surpriză neplăcută, atunci când am descoperit că pozele nu au scos în evidență așa cum doream culoarea ojei. Așa că oja aceasta este singura care a avut parte de două ședințe foto. Sper să vă placă pozele!

Oja YSL are un ambalaj elegant, tipic brandului, vine într-o sticluță de 10 ml. Așa cum am mai amintit oja mea Yves Saint Laurent face parte din colecția La Laque Long Lasting Nail, este numărul 34 - Black Tulip, un mov închis. Oja am primit-o gratuit la achiziționarea de produse YSL în valoare de 150 lei din magazinul Douglas. Cred că prețul ojei este undeva în jurul a 115 lei (cu aproximație).


I was preparing this post with such care and love, when I discovered an unpleasant surprise, my pictures were not showing as I expected the beautiful color of this nail polish. So, this nail polish is the only one who had two photo shootings. I hope you'll enjoy the pictures!

The YSL nail polish has an elegant package, typically to this brand, it comes in a bottle of 10 ml (0,33 fl.oz.). As I was saying, my nail polish is from the La Laque Long Lasting Nail Collection, no. 34 in Black Tulip, a dark purple. This nail polish I received for free as I was buying YSL products of 34 euros/ 42 usd from Douglas store. I think that this nail polish is about 26 euros/ 32 usd.

• nu vă lăsați păcăliți de nuanța din sticlă care pare deschisă, pozele au fost făcute la soare
• don't let the sun fool you (this shade is not so light as seen in the bottle)

 

 

• oja aceasta conferă o eleganță aparte unghiilor, veți putea observa cum la soare își arată culoarea și parcă movul se deschide
• this nail polish adds an elegant note to the nails, as you can see in bright sun, this nail polish reveals a beautiful color, it seems that this purple becomes lighter 

• în timp ce la o lumină să-i spunem de o mai mică intensitate, culoarea devine și mai închisă, aduce spre bleumarin închis
• while in a, let's say, normal light, this color becomes darker, like a dark navy
