We meet again my dear readers in the sweet month of November and this time you'll find me talking about my favorite makeup product in the entire world - yes - THE ALMIGHTY LIPSTICK.
Inheriting this passion (now transformed into a real addiction) from my mom who can rock a lipstick anytime and who in her entire life has never used any other makeup product, my passion for lipsticks began when I was just a kid as I was watching her putting on lipstick and I was counting down the days when I would do the same. I was fascinated about that little stick who can just transform you from an ordinary person into a princess.

The lipstick for me  is not just a makeup product, an object, the lipstick is a part of me. When I have days when I might look like a zombie, or just a gloomy one, putting on lipstick makes me feel simply amazing. When I put my lipstick on, I feel like I rule the world. All my lipstick lovers out there, you know what I am talking about, others may consider me crazy or superficial. I don't care! Love me or hate me, this is ME!

In today's post I am beyond excited to show you and talk about my absolute favorite VoxBox received from Influenster so far - the Yves Saint Laurent VoxBox. If you follow me on Instagram, I was teasing you with a sneak peek of the content of this box a while back. Well, inside the black elegant box there were two Yves Saint Laurent lipsticks from the Rouge Pur Couture collection, one in number 9 - ”Rose Stiletto” and one in number 19 - ”Fuchsia”.

To say that I was mega happy and grateful for being chosen from so many great Influenster members out there to test these products is an understatement. Are you kidding me? Lipsticks? Better yet? YSL lipsticks?

As a lipstick addict and lover, I am proud to say that I do own a few YSL lipsticks and the quality of these products never failed my expectations. That is why when I want to splurge, YSL is one of my top three brands that I like to go for, definitely deserves every penny of those $36.

The two received lipsticks from the Rouge Pur Couture collection confirmed what I expected from the brand: high quality all the way through.

YSL Rouge Pur Couture in no. 9 Rose Stiletto - Rally's Beauty Highway

The Yves Saint Laurent Rouge Pur Couture lipstick in  number 9 - ”Rose Stiletto” is a rich berry rose - the perfect fall shade. Elegant and sumptuous, this lipstick matches my skin tone perfectly. It's a classic shade that you can never go wrong with, I can wear it both as a day time makeup as well as a night one. It feels so comfortable on my lips, it's like I was touched by a rose petal.

YSL Rouge Pur Couture in no. 19 Fuchsia - Rally's Beauty Highway

When I first saw the Yves Saint Laurent Rouge Pur Couture lipstick in number 19 - ”Fuchsia” - magenta purple - I said ”Wow, now you're talking!”. Having such a fair complexion, you know me, I would never say ”no” to a bold color, because I like rocking a bold lipstick and this one is exactly what I needed. I received so many compliments wearing this lipstick, that one day I was literally walking on sunshine. Need to make a statement? This lipstick is on point!

I would like to sum up now with some essential facts that I've noticed wearing these lipsticks:

• luxurious packaging - hands down to YSL for this packaging, the lipstick itself is a masterpiece
• great smell - all those YSL lovers out there will recognize the unmistakable smell of this lipstick
• easy application - both lipsticks glided smoothly on my lips
• great coverage without any effort - I can really achieve great coverage with only one stripe/ application, but you can build it up as you desire
• rich pigmentation - both lipsticks are great when it comes to pigmentation
• long wearing - ”Rose Stiletto” stayed on me for about good long 6 hours, meanwhile ”Fuchsia” resisted more than 8 hours
• small transfer when I was eating and drinking 

Both lipsticks match my skin tone very well, feel so comfortable on my lips, they are creamy, moisturizing (do not dry my lips all day long), do not bleed and let me tell you a secret I did not wear any lip liner, not to mention that beautiful satin radiance finish that brought me so many compliments. As I told you before, the lipsticks confirmed the quality that I have expected from the brand.

A very, very subjective conclusion the Influenster Yves Saint Laurent VoxBox was my favorite VoxBox so far, the ”little” lipstick addict inside me sure enjoyed playing with these jewels.

Long time no see my dear friends, but you were always in my thoughts. There comes a time in your life when you need to step back and set up your priorities, so I took the liberty to take a break from blogging and think things through. I wasn't completely away from the beauty world, because I was reading my favorite blogs, buying and testing new products and I constantly informed myself about beauty and lifestyle related news, as I was planning to come back on the blog. As you may know, on January 23rd my blog had its 3 years anniversary and I decided to ”dress” it up a little with new clothes - so you may have noticed my new banner, a completely new design and layout. I really hope you like it, as I was striving for a clean, professional look, but yet friendly and cute, easy to read. I want to thank you all from the bottom of my heart for your continuous support and patience! I AM BACK!!!

In today's post you will discover the Refresh VoxBox from Influenster - an exclusive online community where tastemakers and trendsetters come to share the latest and greatest news, places, products, and reviews with each other. This was the first box received in 2015 and it was full of goodies. As you can see in the pictures down below there was a pretty good selection of products, from cosmetics, to food/ snacks and oral hygiene.

Let's see together what I have received in my Refresh VoxBox!

• The Beanitos Chips - claim to be ”America's newest superfood”, full of fibers and proteins, free of preservatives, gluten-free and non-GMO. Let me say that the ”Nacho Cheese” flavor quickly became my favorite snack, it was so savory and crunchy and I devoured it in no time. Beanitos Chips cost $3.49/ bag.

• The Skinnygirl Tasty Nutrition Bar - is the perfect snack for your purse and afternoon cravings. I've got the Banana Oatmeal Dark Chocolate flavor and it was absolutely delicious. Can't think about a better combination than that! With 150 calories, 7g of proteins and 5g of fiber, it kept me going through the day. One bar is $1.49.

• The Orgain Certified Organic Nutritional Shake - this product has an interesting concept, it was formulated to provide ”nourishment on-the-go” for active people. I received a $3.99 coupon for a free shake and I set my eyes on the Creamy Chocolate Fudge flavoring, but unfortunately I could not find it anywhere and I tried at a few local Wal-Marts, Targets and Walgreens. If you see them, please let me know! An Orgain Nutritional Shake is usually between $3-$4 each.

• The COVERGIRL UltraSmooth Foundation - I was very excited to discover this new foundation among this VoxBox's goodies. I have received the shade 820 Creamy Natural and I had the chance to play a little bit with this product. To give you an idea - the foundation comes with an unique applicator which I am not a big fan of, it's blendable and has a good coverage without looking cakey. A more in depth review about the COVERGIRL UltraSmooth Foundation will appear soon on the blog. This new foundation costs between $12.99-$16.99.

• The L'Occitane Shea Butter Light Comforting Cream - I am so happy that L'Occitane came up with a light version of their well known and loved cream.This product is perfect for my sensitive combination skin - its light, non-greasy formula (which contains 5% shea butter) absorbs quickly into my skin, leaving it hydrated and comfortable all day long. If this face cream would have had a SPF at least 30 it would have been a dream come true for me. Depending on its weight the L'Occitane Shea Butter Light Comforting Cream costs $5 for 8ml or $28 for 50ml.

• The Montagne Jeunesse Face Masque - now I know this brand quite well and I can say that I love their masques. Every time when I feel the need of a small pampering session I put a Montagne Jeunesse masque on. I tried the Black Seaweed Peel Off masque, and If I may looked like a sea monster, my face sure does love it, because I felt my skin clean and hydrated. Only $1.49 for this product, a real bargain.

• The DenTek Comfort Clean Floss Picks (for adults) - I am a flossing freak, so those were just coming in handy. They are gentle, yet effective and I am very happy to have tried them. They cost $1.39.

• The DenTek Fun Flossers (for kids) - my inner child really enjoyed the wild fruit flavoring while using these little samples. Depending on how many you get in a pack they cost between $2.19 and $3.39.

• The Listerine Pocketpaks - have the perfect size to carry in your bag when you need to refresh your breath on-the-go. They cost $1.40.

Today's review is a little bit different from the reviews that I've presented here on my blog. Today I won't share with you my thoughts about some gorgeous lipsticks, or a face cream, or a body lotion. Today it's all about a ... toothbrush. Nevertheless, I have to say that a smile is worth a million bucks and it is extremely important to have a good oral hygiene. You can use the most expensive makeup products, if you don't take care of your teeth, it's all in vain.

Maybe you are wondering how come I am reviewing a toothbrush. Well, it's all because of Influenster - an exclusive online community where tastemakers and trendsetters come to share the latest and greatest news, places, products, and reviews with each other. I have to thank my friend Elisa for inviting me to this amazing community. I've sign up, I made a profile, I've answered to some interesting challenges and here I am, selected for testing the new Colgate product. So this is pretty much it: based on your profile and if you are selected after filling a questionnaire, you may qualify for testing all kind of products, from cosmetics, to sweets, to cleaning products for your house. Quite an interesting concept, ins't it?

I was very excited when I received my Colgate Voxbox, my first box from Influenster. I have shown you on my Instagram account this picture:

As you can see, everything came nicely packed, and in addition to the new Colgate SlimSoft toothbrush, I have received  two samples - the Colgate Total toothpaste and mouthwash from the same range.

Now let's begin with our review!

The new Colgate SlimSoft toothbrush looks like this:

How did it work in my case?


For me the oral hygiene is extremely important. I have started my routine since childhood, under my mother's strict supervision and since them I'm respecting it rigorously. I am proud to say that I don't have any caries or major problems with my teeth, because dentists scare me like hell, so I try to avoid the problems. I remember that my first toothbrush was a Colgate one, red, it was so pretty. I really loved it and I enjoy all that new learning ”how-to-brush-my-teeth” process.

Over the time, I have switched different brand of toothbrushes, but somehow I end up coming back to my first love. I have always tried to buy those appropriate products for my teeth, for a good oral hygiene, but, many times, a toothbrush with hard bristles would cause me gum pain, or bleedings, or that sensation of  ”irritated enamel”.

I have noticed that my teeth are more sensitive, so I switched my tooth paste with  one that really helps my dental sensitivity and I bought a ”Soft” toothbrush (with soft bristles). For about seven years now, this type of toothbrush has been the right one for me.

When I received the new Colgate SlimSoft toothbrush I've started to use it immediately. I was quite impressed with this product. Brushing my teeth with this tootbrush was so soft and delicate, it was like brushing my teeth with a feather. Although delicate, I felt my mouth clean and fresh. The new Colgate SlimSoft toothbrush is a little different from the ”Soft” Colgate toothbrush that I have been using in the past, it has more tip bristles, which are slimmer and this offers you a deeper reach between teeth and gums and a more effective cleanliness of your mouth.

The handle is flexible and easy to use. It was designed to give you a good and effective teeth cleaning, but very gentle in the same time.

 

I would really loved that this toothbrush would have a ”tongue cleaner”, you know that porous part of the brush attached to its head, it would have been very helpful.

Let's sum up with some STRONG POINTS and WEAKNESSES:

STRONG POINTS:

• innovative product - more, softer, slimmer tip bristles
• cleans gently, but yet effectively teeth and gums 
• very good for sensitive teeth too

WEAKNESSES:

•  does not have a tongue cleaner

In conclusion, I really enjoyed the new Colgate SlimSoft toothbrush, it is a product that suits my sensitive teeth routine. I was very impressed with it and I will definitely buy it in the future.

Review-ul de astăzi este puțin diferit de cele cu care v-am obișnuit până acum. Astăzi nu voi împărtăși opiniile mele despre un ruj, o cremă de față sau o loțiune de corp, ci despre ... o periuță de dinți. Cred că nu mai are rost să spun cât de mult valorează un zâmbet sau cât de mult contează să avem o igienă bucală corespunzătoare. Poți să folosești cele mai scumpe și mai frumoase brand-uri de machiaj, dacă nu îți îngrijești dantura, totul este în zadar.

Poate vă întrebați cum am ajuns să testez o periuță de dinți. Totul s-a întâmplat cu ajutorul Influenster - o comunitate on-line exclusivistă unde bloggeri, youtuberi sau alți trendsetteri se adună pentru a împărtăși opinii despre cele mai noi produse, locuri sau pentru a împărtăși cele mai fresh noutăți. Îi mulțumesc mult Elisei pe această cale pentru invitație! M-am înscris, mi-am completat un profil, am răspuns unor provocări interesante și m-am trezit că am fost selectată să testez noul produs Colgate. Cam așa stă treaba, pe baza profilului creat și, dacă ești selectat în urma chestionarului trimis, te poți califica pentru testarea a unor diverse produse, de la produse cosmetice, la dulciuri sau produse pentru curățenia casei. Interesant concept, nu-i așa?

Am fost extrem de entuziasmată atunci când am primit cutia cu produsele Colgate, prima mea cutie Influenster, v-am și arătat pe contul meu de Instagram această poză.

Totul a venit frumos ambalat, și pe lângă noua periuță de dinți SlimSoft am mai primit două mostre - pasta de dinți Colgate Total și apa de gură din aceeași gamă.

Să trecem acum la review-ul produsului nostru!


Noua periuță de dinți Colgate SlimSoft arată așa:

Producătorul ne spune că acest ”produs inovativ vine dotat cu peri de 17 ori mai subțiri decât cei ai unei periuțe normale și oferă:

• o curățare de 6 ori mai eficientă a dinților și a gingiilor
• un acces de 1.5 ori mai puternic între dinți
• periuța este mai bogată în peri de 35% mai mult decât cei ai unei periuțe normale
• un mâner ergonomic și flexibil”

Cum a funcționat acest produs în cazul meu?


Pentru mine igiena orală este sfântă. Mi-am început rutina încă din copilărie, sub atenta supraveghere a mamei și de atunci o respect cu rigoare. Sunt mândră că nu am carii și nici probleme majore cu dinții, deoarece fug de dentiști mâncând pământul. Țin minte că prima mea periuță de dinți a fost una de la Colgate, roșie, îmi era tare dragă și mă minunam de tot procesul acela de a ajunge la dinți curați și frumoși.

De-a lungul timpului, am tot schimbat diferite brand-uri de periuțe de dinți, dar cumva mă întorceam mereu la prima dragoste. Am încercat dintotdeauna să cumpăr acele produse potrivite pentru o igienă orală perfectă, dar, de multe ori, o periuță de dinți cu perii mai duri îmi provoca neplăceri, dureri ale gingiilor, uneori sângerări, sau senzația aceea de ”dinte/smalț iritat”.

Am observat că dinții mei au devenit mai sensibili și am schimbat pasta de dinți cu una care ajută la ameliorarea sensibilității dentare și mi-am achiziționat o periuță ”Soft” (cu perii moi). De vreo șapte ani încoace, acest tip de periuță de dinți pare a fi cel potrivit mie.

Când am primit noua periuță de dinți Colgate SlimSoft spre testare am început să o folosesc de îndată. Am rămas plăcut impresionată de acest produs, atât de fin și delicat este periajul dinților, încât ai impresia că te-a atins o pană. Totuși, dinții sunt curați, iar în gură simți o senzație de prospețime.
Colgate SlimSoft diferă puțin de clasica periuță ”Soft” de la Colgate pe care eu am folosit-o în trecut, prin faptul că este mai bogată în peri, iar aceștia sunt mult mai subțiri, lucru care oferă o mai bună pătrundere între dinți și gingii și o curățare mai eficientă.

Mânerul este flexibil și ușor de folosit. Este în așa fel construit încât să-ți asigure o periere eficientă, dar foarte fină în același timp.

Mi-ar fi plăcut tare mult ca această periuță să fi mai avut încă ceva inovativ, și anume pe capul periuței să fie atașat acea parte poroasă pentru curățarea limbii, ar fi fost foarte folositoare.

Să vedem câteva PUNCTE FORTE și PUNCTE SLABE:


PUNCTE FORTE:

• produs inovativ - peri mai mulți, mai moi și mai subțiri
• curăță delicat, dar eficient și profund dinții și gingiile
• potrivită și dinților sensibili

PUNCTE SLABE:

• nu este prevăzută cu dispozitiv pentru curățarea limbii

În concluzie, mi-a plăcut mult noua periuță de dinți Colgate SlimSoft, este un produs care se potrivește dinților mei sensibili și rutinei mele în acest sens. Am rămas plăcut impresionată și voi cumpăra, cu siguranță acest produs pe viitor.
